My First Time Voting

In May of my senior year of High School I was eligible to vote in my first election. It was the primary for the local offices in Hammond, IN.

I got up early and got to the polls when they opened at 6am. I was excited and wanted to get it done before class.

As kids we were always being told what to do and sometimes felt like we had no say, well this was an opportunity to have a say!
